Nicholas Fung shows off the Queen's Cup. — Asian Tour

DANNY CHIA, Airil Rizman Zahari and Ben Leong have praised Nicholas Fung for finally breaking his duck on the Asian Tour.

Nicholas captured the Queen’s Cup yesterday when he courageously holed a four-foot par putt on the 18th hole at Santiburi Samui Country Club for a closing four-under 67.

He shot a four-day total 15-under 269, for a one-shot victory over Thailand’s Jazz Janewattananond.

Before Nicholas’ victory, Malaysia only had four victories on the Asian Tour:

> Danny — 2002 Taiwan Open and 2015 Taiwan Masters.

> Airil Rizman — 2007 Pakistan Open.

> Ben — 2008 Selangor Masters.

Nicholas kept his cool after slow start to final round.

Having finally got the monkey off his back and with Gavin Green coming close in recent months, there is hope more Malaysians will add to the cabinet soon.

Nicholas' 'buddies' were overjoyed.

Very happy to see another Malaysian win on the Asian Tour.

Hopefully Gavin can win soon.

He’s been in position to win many times.

He's finally learnt how to close out a tournament. He deserves it.

 Airil Rizman

He’s worked hard for it.

This is a plus for golf’s growth in Malaysia.
