KUALA LUMPUR — Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin returned to Malaysia yesterday afternoon from Singapore where he had undergone surgery.
He arrived at KL International Airport (KLIA) at about 1.45pm.
It was learnt the 71-year-old Pagoh MP will recuperate at his family home in Kuala Lumpur before taking his oath as an MP in the Dewan Rakyat tomorrow.
News of Muhyiddin’s return to Malaysia was posted by his press secretary Hafiz Abdul Halim on his Facebook page.
Hafiz posted a picture of Muhyiddin looking in good health and wearing a beige jacket.
Muhyiddin was warded at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore, where he underwent an operation to remove a growth in his pancreas.
He has taken leave since July 12 to undergo follow-up treatments.
