IPOH — Police believe they have solved the murder of a man in Grik last month with confessions from the victim’s ex-wife, her lover and an accomplice.
Perak Criminal Investigations Department chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Yahya Abd Rahman said investigations into the murder of Kamarulzaman Safri led to the arrests of the trio on April 10, four days after his bullet-ridden body was found.
“The victim had been trying to re-establish a relationship with his ex-wife recently,” Yahya told reporters yesterday, adding that they had been married a year before divorcing in December.
However, she was already in a relationship with her current
Kamarulzaman’s body was found by passers-by near bushes in Ladang Sungai Rui at Ban Pasir, Jalan Gerik-Kupang on April 7.
He was shot once each in the head, chest and abdomen.
