In my four-year journey with Malay Mail as a photographer, I have had the opportunity to travel around Perak, where I am based, to capture many interesting sights.
Being assigned to the state bureau, I have to cover all manner of stories and this has allowed me to capture photos of various places.
When I go for an assignment and I never waste the chance to capture the beautiful scenery and buildings I visited.
Among the places I have visited are Kellie’s Castle in Batu Gajah, a charcoal factory in Kuala Sepetang, Pulau Sembilan, where unique glowing blue plankton are spotted, Gua Tempurung, Malaysia’s largest natural limestone cave in the peninsular and Menara Condong in Teluk Intan.
Perak is full of heritage buildings and wonderful scenery but not many are aware of it.
I have selected some of the best pictures I have that I believe give insight into what is Perak all about.
