PETALING JAYA — National badminton ace Datuk Lee Chong Wei has denied claims of him being in a purported sex tape that has gone viral.

According to media reports, the three-time Olympic medallist will lodge a police report over the video.

Lee was quoted as saying the alleged video could be the work of certain people looking to see him fail in light of his upcoming movie Lee Chong Wei: Rise of the Legend.

“It is not me. Look at the video and you know it’s not me,” he was quoted by a daily yesterday.

The report said Lee had received many calls from people looking to confirm if it was indeed him in the video.

“I will be lodging a police report at Bukit Aman.”

Lee also commented on a local shuttler who is being investigated by the Badminton World Federation for match-fixing.

“It’s a disgrace … They may not be BAM players but they still carry the Jalur Gemilang on their chest when they play,” he said.
