IPOH — The momentum for the Ipoh International Fashion Week 2017 (IIFW) has gone into overdrive with more international fashion designers and models signing on.
The showcase, in conjunction with Visit Perak Year 2017, will feature designers from Australia, China, Indonesia, India, Singapore, Laos, Indonesia, Thailand, Russia and the Philippines.
Proceeds will go to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital Paediatric Care Unit.
A press conference recently at the Swiss Garden Hotel in Kuala Lumpur to announce details of the event were attended by Perak Tourism, Arts, Culture, Multimedia and Communications exco Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohammed Radzi and the founder of IIFW Louis Sebastian, among others.
“Several Perak-born celebrities and music producers will also lend their support to the event. Among them are Taiwan-based Vic Teo and Pakistani singer Gul Muhammad,” said Sebastian.
The opening gala dinner will be held at Syuen Hotel on Oct 6, with the theme “Night of Glamour and Glitter”.
This will be followed by the IIFW Runway Fashion Showcase from 8pm to 11pm the next day.
The closing ceremony will be held on Oct 8 at the Movie Animation Park Studio.
The sponsors for the event are Perak Tourism, Syuen Hotel, MAPS, Where2 magazine, Destination Perak, Aidil Travel and Tours, music news site Rentak Sejuta, SelebritiOnline, Khal Hair Salon and Trinity Entertainment.
