HOMEGROWN cosmetics brand Omorose made its mark at the 70th Cannes Film Festival in France where stars were showered with gift bags embossed with Braille.
The Malaysian brand was invited by the Dubois Pelin & Associates Gifting Lounge organising committee to share its vegan lip balm.
The cruelty-free brand is known for incorporating Braille into its packaging as well as wheelchair friendly counters.
Featured alongside big brands, the Omorose booth was frequented by the likes of How I Met Your Mother actor Celeste Thorson, Best Picture nominee Wonderstruck stars Jaden Michael and Millicent Simmonds, Criminal Minds’ Julius Tennon and award-winning director Euzhan Palcy.
The gift session took place from May 17 to last Friday at The InterContinental Carlton Hotel.
Launched in 2014 by Terry Liau, Omorose is no stranger to the awards circuit, having been present at the 2015 and 2016 Golden Globe Awards.
“We are thrilled and honoured to be a part of the festival’s 70th anniversary. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and we are truly thankful to be able to represent Malaysia alongside international brands.
“This recognition has inspired us to work harder to make Omorose Cosmetics a household name, locally and beyond,” Liau said in a statement.
