MARSEILLE — Belgian international striker Michy Batshuayi, reportedly set for a €40 million (RM178 million) switch from Marseille to Premier League side Chelsea, confirmed he was leaving the Ligue 1 outfit. “I will be leaving Olympique Marseille this summer,” Batshuayi wrote on Twitter. A €6.5 million (RM29 million) from Standard Liege in 2014, Batshuayi scored 17 goals in Ligue 1 last season and netted 23 times in all competitions. Batshuayi spent his first season at Marseille as understudy to Andre-Pierre Gignac, before the France international left for Mexican side Tigres. Although he signed a contract extension in January, he had been expected to leave this summer. Batshuayi came off the bench to score Belgium’s second goal in their 4-0 win over Hungary in the last 16 of Euro 2016. — AFP
